Follow these steps:
- Enter your contact information and all required information in this form. If you press the 'Submit' button and still see this page, you have left out something that is required. Look over all the entry fields again.
- Click on the upload button at the bottom of this page. Choose your entry file. Make sure it is saved as a .doc .docx or .rtf file, and named using your entry's genre, title and category: Genre_Title _Category
- Upload your contest entry. There is a field where you can add your comments if you need to talk directly to the contest coordinators.
- You will be directed to a page that has a PayPal button where you will pay for your entry. No entry will be accepted without payment. Only pay once. If you have to resubmit after you have already paid, mention this in the comments section and we will verify the prior payment. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT. - Your phone number is needed in the event the email does not work. We will only contact you if there are questions or problems with your file.
The contest coordinators will receive your entry. They will look at your file settings to make sure the margins are 1" all around and that your font size is 12 point and Times New Roman or Courier Font. The text must be double-spaced, and 10 pages or less. Page number must appear in the right hand corner and your file name in the upper left corner. (Example: GENRE_TITLE_CATEGORY.doc) If your name appears ANYWHERE in the submission, it will be disqualified. DO NOT make any fancy first letters for the beginning of your chapter(s). Do not format the first page by having the first paragraph start halfway down the page, just start at the top.
Poetry Format
- Each poem should be sent separately, but only one payment per three poems is required
- Each poem should fit on an 8.5" by 11" sheet of paper (if it were printed)
- Each poem should consist of no more than 40 lines
- Fonts (Courier New or Times New Roman required) 12 point text size

I certify that my entry is my own original work. I realize that contest judging is subjective by nature, and that I may receive feedback from contest judges with which I don’t agree. In consideration of Pennwriters’s acceptance of my entry, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pennwriters, its officers, members, and all judges of the contest from liability for any actions arising from or related to judging and handling of my entry, as well as conducting, sponsoring, and advertising this contest.
